My Whirlpool Washer and Samsung Washer and many more branded washing machines All have complaints about not draining, spinning, grinding and loud thumping noises. The issue is the automatic fill option incorrectly filling when the WEIGHT of wet clothes is too heavy. Even though the washer says it can fit king size bedding. The newer washer designs miscalculated how it calibrates for WEIGHT HEAVY loads, ie my queen size All Cotton blanket. Once the blanket starts to absorb the water, the drum sinks due to the weight and can no longer calibrate. My washer kept adding water to the point of almost overflowing if I had not checked it. This should not be happening on a less the 1 week old washer. I filled with BBB.org, the manufacturer didn’t investigate my problem, the passed it to the extended warranty company. My washer was under manufacturer warranty at the first time I complained. The BBB.org office closed my complaint without contacting me. I’m out $1600.00 since October 2021 and still can’t wash clothes because the washer won’t spin. I have a bad back and having to empty a 4.9 cubic washer full of water and a wet cotton blanket is NOT acceptable! These less than 6 months old useless machines are going into Landfills
