Why this petition matters

Started by James Robertson

On Saturday 2nd July 2022, 10,000 tickets were sold by AXS Events/Senbla Live Events for the Michael Buble concert at Waddesdon Manor.

Unfortunately the concert was marred by a complete disaster-class in Event Management by those at Senbla Live Events, AXS Events, Waddesdon Manor, SES Group & Ticketmaster.

The surrounding A roads were gridlocked as the venue refused to open 2 of their 3 entrances. This resulted in thousands of vehicles being funnelled in to a country road which created traffic chaos for the residents of Aylesbury, Waddesdon and Bicester. This meant Emergency Services had to drive toward oncoming traffic to circumnavigate the area.

Upon arrival, individuals were supposed to have their bags, tickets & car park tickets checked however none of this took place. Instead, it was a free-for-all as thousands rushed to view the concert that had already started meaning the security at the event (SES Group) did nothing to protect its attendees.

Disabled attendees were left stranded by an appalling bus shuttle system that prioritised moving staff from the car park to the concert over them.

Staff members were seen laughing at those latecomers who travelled from far and wide as they were only able to catch the last 5-10 minutes of the set or worse, missed it entirely.

We, the many ticket holders who missed the event thanks to the poor management by Senbla, AXS Events, AEG, Waddesdon Manor & SES Group demand a refund for our ticket costs. Their failure to appropriately manage the event resulted in the event being ruined in a time when concerts are supposed to bring the joy back to people's lives. If we win, we will accept the full cost of the tickets purchased. If we do not, we will continue pursuing this through our various legal avenues & the ombudsman.
