I think that it is evident that these past few years, GCSEs are becoming more and more stressful, pointless, difficult and old. They just don't work well for the children of today.

The fact that there are so many subjects that need to be taken make it a huge struggle to balance all revision and overall give students a bad GCSE experience. They're destroying education! While it may have worked years ago, it doesn't work now. We need to wake up to that reality.

One thing I am particularly annoyed about is the actual purpose of the exams- they're MEMORY based! They should be nothing to do with memory, but rather how students input their knowledge and understanding of what they have learned. They should be allowed some sort of resource in the exam that they can use to gather knowledge.

If students are always trying to seek leaked exam papers and purchase predicted exam papers, I think it's evident that something has gone wrong!

We must change how this works, as its ultimately destroying students and their view on education. With a complete reform, I really do believe it can almost become a force for good and may actually benefit students!

The children are our future!
