I spend time outdoors and don't want to worry about stepping in a trap or being attacked by unsupervised bear hounds. It's also concerning what happens when landowners are too old or weak to get out to post their land. Current state laws regarding hunting, fishing, trapping, and bear hounding need urgent reform to ensure the safety of outdoor enthusiasts and protect vulnerable landowners.

Traps pose significant risks not only to wildlife but also to pets and people who enjoy Vermont's natural beauty. Unsupervised bear hounds can be aggressive and dangerous. Moreover, requiring elderly or disabled landowners to physically post their property is unfair and impractical.
