The Issue

I call on the local residents of Farnborough and anyone who cares about prioritising local community needs. In Rushmoor, we are facing a pressing issue. We already have 200 vulnerable homeless people and 1,700 people on the social housing waiting list. Yet, there are plans to go ahead with immigrant housing developments on Pinehurst Hill Side. While we understand the need for immigrant housing, we believe our local people and homeless should come first. The local council and the Home Secretary need to hear our voices. Housing is a necessity, not a luxury, and should be treated as such by prioritising the local community's needs, particularly for those most vulnerable. We ask Rushmoor Borough Council and the Home Secretary to reconsider this decision and focus on housing for local people and homeless individuals over new immigrant housing developments. Your support will uphold the rights of our local community. Please sign this petition.
