Over the last several months, Project Lost & Found has evolved into far more than a nonprofit. It has become a necessary community response to a manufactured crisis—one this administration is already weaponizing to justify sweeping overreach through a contrived “war on immigration.”
How we respond as a nation in this moment will define our future. It will decide whether we collapse under the weight of fear and political manipulation, or whether we rise with compassion, dignity, and a renewed commitment to civil and human rights for all people.
Today, I am doubling all of my efforts toward protecting vulnerable immigrant families and other at-risk communities. This is work that cannot wait for the next election cycle.
People ask me constantly: “What can we do now?”
The answer is clear: support grassroots movements like this one. We cannot allow this administration to use the immigration crisis as a pretext for suspending or undermining democratic processes. When abuses of power are happening in the shadows, shining a light is our only defense.

As we finalize preparations for the Run for Hope 5K at the Huntington Beach Pier—a free public event uplifting immigrant families and telling their stories with dignity—we are facing immediate, unavoidable costs.

Event logistics
Community support materials
I’ve put the last of my personal savings toward unpaid press and SME work to push our mission forward, and with my California PI license number still pending, I’m temporarily unable to take on paid work. My emergency reserves are now exhausted.
