Fellow Americans,

Some are saying the No Kings protests were the largest organized protest movement in American history. That gives me hope. It shows that people do care about what’s happening in this country.

While noble, change starts with specific identifiable substantive actions. It starts with demanding human rights for all people and restoring constitutional protections for all U.S. persons—protections Americans have long expected, but which too many are being denied.

Mass protests prove the public is ready to act. I’ve heard from countless people that they don’t know what else to do—besides protest or wait for the next election. Both are noble, but there is more we can do to make a positive impact on unity, peace and security.

There is something you can do right now, and it’s not political. A newly formed nonprofit, Project Lost & Found (projectlostandfound.net), is working to protect human rights through awareness and accountability. The organization independently documents and maps missing persons—particularly in areas where the government has downplayed or ignored the crisis.

Project Lost & Found partners with experienced private investigators and retired and concerned federal agents to help bring missing people home, while preserving their stories and amplifying their voices. Right now, through Operation PIN (People In Need), the organization is distributing lapel pins—each embedded with vital information on how to report missing persons. These pins are being spread throughout border regions, Native lands, and public areas where people are most vulnerable to being disappeared.

This is not a political campaign. It’s an American human rights effort—one that anyone, regardless of party, can support. It’s about doing something meaningful now, before the next election, before the next tragedy, before the next name is forgotten.

If you’re someone who doesn’t want to pick a political side—fine. But this is a moment to pick a moral one. We can all stand together to identify the missing, protect the vulnerable, and bring people home.

Visit projectlostandfound.net to learn how you can help—no politics, just people.  Check out Operation PIN (People In Need) and see what you can do NOW through volunteer participation, sharing with friends or chipping in however you desire: https://givebutter.com/Ovg67L

With Gratitude,

-John
