I am writing with a deep concern rooted in my personal experience. Our Presidents have not been good thus far. Continuous policy shifts due to frequent leadership changes have led to social and economic instability. Therefore, I propose a change in the presidential term. Instead of a 4-year term, let’s limit it to a year with the possibility of running again for up to four times.

It is worth noting that instability in the leadership significantly affects a country’s development. A study from the World Bank showed that countries with frequent leadership changes have a slower growth rate compared to those with stable leadership (World Bank, 2016). Our proposed reform would alleviate this issue and offer a chance for ineffective presidents to be removed swiftly.

Additionally, this change would give a president who displays excellence and dedication the opportunity to continue advancing their agendas, while presidents who underperform would not have a guaranteed four years in office. We believe this reform could provide a better balance in our political system and enhance the country's progress.
