There were 7 kittens, just 4 weeks old, that a rescue had made arrangements to pick up. They were on their way to get them and upon arrival found that 15 minutes before their arrival, the shelter euthanized the kittens. The shelter claimed there were communication problems and falsely stated that the rescue showed up an hour and a half late.

This is not an isolated incident at our local animal shelter in Lee County, FL (LCDAS). Perfectly good puppies, dogs, kittens, and cats are being euthanized due to not analyzing the animals properly and I believe disregard for these innocent animals lives,  and lack of proper. We need major changes at LCDAS to ensure these innocent animals are given a fair chance at life.

We urge you to sign this petition demanding immediate reforms at LCDAS. Let's work together to protect these vulnerable animals from unnecessary euthanasia!
