India has long struggled with systemic issues where political power is misused to shield criminals, influence law enforcement, and suppress the voices of justice—especially when powerful individuals are involved in crimes against women, children, and marginalized communities.

We are witnessing how unqualified, unethical, and politically motivated individuals continue to occupy power, mislead citizens, and use political supporters as personal goons—undermining our democracy and legal system.

To ensure that India becomes a truly just and citizen-centric democracy, we propose the following urgent reforms:

 
🔒 Political Entry Reforms:
Minimum Educational Qualifications:
Only individuals with a minimum graduation degree from a recognized university should be allowed to contest elections (Panchayat to Parliament level).
SSB-style Selection Process:
Introduce a mandatory psychological, ethical, and aptitude test—similar to the NDA/SSB selection system—for all candidates wanting to become MLAs, MPs, or Ministers.
Criminal Record Ban:
Anyone with a criminal background or charges involving violence, corruption, or crimes against women should be permanently disqualified from holding any political office.
 
🛡️ Post-Election Accountability:
Ban on Political Goons and Party Workers:
Elected representatives must not be allowed to keep personal “party workers” or unofficial teams that are often used to threaten, coerce, or influence the public or law enforcement.
Real-Time Action Monitoring:
All political decisions, fund allocations, and actions taken by MPs/MLAs/CMs/Ministers must be published live on a publicly accessible government portal.
Digital Dashboard for Citizens:
A central platform for citizens to track all projects, schemes, complaints, and representative activities of their elected leaders—similar to RTI, but in real-time.
 
⚖️ Legal & Ethical Safeguards:
Fast-Track Courts for Political Crimes:
Any case involving a politician must be transferred to a special fast-track court monitored directly by the High Court/Supreme Court with no interference possible.
Witness Protection Under Judiciary:
Independent witness protection programs should be created under direct judicial oversight—not under police or political control.
Lifetime Ban for Abuse of Power:
Any misuse of political power for personal gain, coercion, or covering up crime must result in a lifetime ban from all political activities.
 
🧭 Cultural & Moral Oversight:
Mandatory Ethics & Constitutional Training:
Every elected official must undergo regular training sessions on the Indian Constitution, Public Welfare Ethics, and Secular Values.
Public Review Mechanism:
Citizens should be allowed to submit reviews and ratings of their political representatives which affect future candidature and benefits.
