Seattle is renowned for its commitment to progressive values. However, there is an area where improvements are needed: our family law courts. In the United States, approximately 50% of marriages end in divorce (Source: American Psychological Association). When these cases go to court, an efficient, empathetic and improved family law court system is crucial in delivering fair judgments that primarily consider the welfare of children involved.

According to Seattle's best family law attorney, Michelle Dellino, many families in Seattle struggle with lengthy litigation, high legal costs, and overall distress that could have been mitigated by potential reformations of the family law courts. 

A reform may include, but not limited to, increased funding for better facilities, comprehensive training and education for court officers on the complexities of family law, the emotional trauma associated with it, and the prioritization of children's rights. Additionally, the implementation of more clear and affordable access to information, and an overall dedication to transparency, can play a pivotal role in delivering justice in these kinds of cases.
