Reform Child Protective Services in Tyler, Texas for Fairer Family Contact Guidelines

Reform Child Protective Services in Tyler, Texas for Fairer Family Contact Guidelines
The Issue
My personal story has ignited my passion for this cause, I had no other choice but to surrender my baby to Child Protective Services (CPS) in pleasanthill, california After an unfortunate sequence of events, I found myself without support, unable to provide shelter or food for my baby. I didn't have anyone to help me, and tragically, was robbed of my baby's food stamps from her EBT card. Seeing the struggle I was having to go through, I became frightened about the potential danger that could come to my child. Through tears, I did what I believed was best and surrendered my child to CPS, choosing to endure the pain of separation rather than see my baby suffer.
However, the current policies of CPS in contra costa county hit families like mine particularly hard. These guidelines strip parents like me of their rights to have consistent contact or any semblance of custody with their children, causing unnecessary distress to both parent and child.
In the USA, CPS agencies separated 266,000 children from their families in 2019 alone. Despite the fact that several studies suggest that maintaining contact with their parents is crucial for the wellbeing of the child, many parents who surrender their children out of love and desperation often find themselves barred from their children's lives.
Therefore, I'm seeking your support to petition the U.S.A Services Child Protective Services to reform their policies in such a way that enables parents who have surrendered their children for their protection to maintain a presence in their child’s life, or have fair custody rights over their children. If, for any reason, a safe environment cannot be provided for the child, regular and consistent contact should still be a priority over total separation.
