I am an animal lover, and my life is enriched by the bonds I form with these beautiful creatures. Yet, it breaks my heart to see how animals are often mistreated in our society. We need to change the way we treat animals and work towards their protection.

According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), nearly 1 million animals are abused or killed each year due to domestic violence alone. This statistic does not even include other forms of abuse such as factory farming, animal testing, and hunting.

We must reform our laws and regulations regarding animal treatment. By doing so, we can ensure that all creatures - regardless of species - are treated with respect and dignity they deserve.
