Reexamine AP Transco Discoms AEE electrical exam
The Issue
My name is Ajay Kumar and I am one of the candidates who appeared for the AP Transco Discoms GENCO AEE electrical examination held on August 26th. This exam was crucial for my career prospects in the electricity sector in Andhra Pradesh, and I spent countless hours meticulously preparing for it. However, upon receiving the question paper, I was extremely disappointed and frustrated due to several inconsistencies.
Firstly, the exam did not adhere to the standard pattern as promised. AP Transco used a draft syllabus for the exam which was later declared fake by the Joint Managing Director of AP Transco. This was a severe breach of trust and led to unnecessary confusion among candidates who relied on the syllabus communicated earlier. Many questions in the second shift of the electrical exam were marked with incorrect initial keys. This unfair grading system jeopardizes the merit of all candidates who appeared for the examination.
Moreover, to our dismay, there were numerous questions from subjects that were not part of the electrical syllabus. Questions like those on "SCADA", derived from civil and communication syllabi, were blatantly out of our study scope as electrical candidates. This caused undue stress and potentially distorted the results which could entirely alter career trajectories of sincere candidates like myself.
We need justice. We need transparency and accountability in the examination process, and the only solution is a reexamination of the AEE electrical paper under the correct and verified syllabus. A new initial key, reflecting the real-time solutions, should be established. It’s pivotal for the authorities to recognize these misjudgments and take corrective actions to restore fairness.
I urge fellow candidates, faculty, and concerned citizens to support this cause. Let's ensure that the AP Transco Discoms and GENCO authorities acknowledge these issues and commit to a rectified examination.
