The Idaho State Guard has a significant role to play in supporting the Idaho National Guard and other state agencies during emergencies, a responsibility that can't be overlooked. With the increasing need for trained and disciplined troops to support and augment homeland security efforts, it is essential to reinitiate the Idaho State Guard. Having them supplement the National Guard, police and federal military forces not only boosts our security but provides a local solution specially tailored to our states needs and problems.

The additional manpower of the State Guard could significantly enhance disaster response efforts, helping our communities recover more quickly and efficiently.
