Redwater Lake in the Ocala National Forest is considered one of the most beautiful lakes in the forest and has been a beloved fishing spot for locals and visitors for years. Unfortunately, access to the lake has been closed and the old wooden boat ramp has deteriorated. Previously, improvements to the area included limerock road construction and a parking lot addition, greatly enhancing people's ability to enjoy this natural treasure.

Today, we implore our local government to reopen access to the lake and approve the construction of a new concrete boat ramp. It is such a valued amenity that members of our community, including the person initiating this petition, are willing to cover the costs if necessary. By restoring access to the lake and upgrading its facilities, we not only give back recreational opportunities to our citizens but also attract visitors, promoting local tourism.

We urge our elected officials and the forestry department to restore our access to nature and support community engagement with the environment.
