Happy new year and welcome to 2021 everyone! 
So far there’s been some incredible support for the petition to have the Championships of Cosplay brought back to Australia. 
Let’s kick off 2021 by working hard at this goal and hopefully getting the competition back before conventions re-open. 
Australia has had a fairly good handle on the COVID situation (granted there’s been slip ups), and this brings hope that conventions will be back soon. 
With the return of Oz Comic Con, it would be great to return to the Championships as well. Remembering that the competition is gone for good currently, not simply closed off until COVID passes. 
The Championships would be a great opportunity for Australian cosplayers to show off their newly gained skills. Many of us spent the long quarantine periods honing skills and learning new ones and working on incredible costumes ready to dazzle everyone. 
At the very least, Aussie cosplayers deserve this platform to present their art.
