Recently due to the covid-19 pandemic a lot of employees are working from home but this hasn't changed the conditions in which they are working. The fight for strict and fixed working hours remains the same. Infact it has turned out that a lot of employees are working much more at home then they had to at the office. Employees now are required to be working 24x7 and also have to be constantly available on calls. We are all trying to work towards a better economy especially in these troubled times but that doesn't mean we have to do it over our employees' health. At the end of the day everyone is earning to spend some quality time with their family, to feed their family, and to have a better healthy life. But our extreme working hours are not allowing us to do so. Many states are now removing certain labour laws in order to get more companies to come to India, but we have to be careful at what cost? So instead of giving up let's keep this fight going on. We want fixed working hours of 8.5 including breaks of one hour total even for employees working from home. The companies should definitely use employee working hour tracking softwares to check that employees don't waste time and commit to the work during those 8.5 hours. We want all governments to listen to us petitioners and take action in this condition before it's too late. In this pandemic a lot of unemployed people would be ready to work for less rather than sit at home. Hire more employees at lesser salaries rather than stretching out the current employees beyond a point of breaking. We want justice.
