Thank you very much to everyone who has signed and shared so far.

This year, Clean Air Day – the UK’s largest campaign tackling air pollution – took place on 19 June, focusing on amplifying healthcare workers’ voices to drive action on cleaner air at both a national and local level.

A groups of NHS colleagues, Brighton residents, clean air campaigners, Green Councillor Kerry Pickett, and local resident Gary Fuller, an Associate Professor in Air Quality at Imperial College London came together to deliver the petition to Brighton Council.

We were met by Jess Gibbons, Chief Executive of Brighton & Hove City Council, and have been invited to formally present the petition to the council in October.

They have also advised that if the petition has 1250 signatures by then that it will have to be debated by the full council, potentially giving it more weight and momentum.

If you could take 5 minutes to share with family, friends, co-workers, school whatsapp groups and any other interested parties living in Brighton and Hove I would be extremely grateful!

Thank you,

Sara
