Good evening,

Thank you to everyone who took time to sign the petition to lower the speed limit on Wellbrook Hill.

Today Cllr Marlow and Cllr Tibbles presented the petition to the East Sussex Chairman Roy Galley with Cllr Pragnell and Cllr Anne Cross. They said with the tragic history of fatalities and accidents, our petition currently consisting of 505 signatures, (online and physical) makes a very strong case for change.

The petition will now be passed on to the Director of Communities, Economy and Transport who will decide on the next course of action. 

Once we receive news of his decision, we will communicate this.

It’s great to see we’re making real progress however, we still have more work to do.
