My story is not unlike many of yours. I live in Peel Regional Municipality, ON, Canada, and like many of you, I am struggling with high water bills. The cost has become a significant burden on our lives, affecting how we budget and plan for our other needs.

Water is a basic necessity of life and it's not something we can compromise on due to high prices. We all do our best to conserve water, but that doesn’t seem to reflect on our bills. It's a common experience across Peel Region, where residents have been noticing an unfair increase on their water bills.

Indeed, the average water bill in our region has increased significantly over the past decade. The rise does not only place a financial strain on our households but also raises questions about the fairness and transparency of pricing in our local water service. It's crucial the community has access to clean, affordable water.

We are not asking for free services, but for fair ones. We rightly expect water rates to reflect our actual usage and be in line with other municipal water rates. We are asking Peel Region officials to review, reassess and reduce the high water rates currently placed on their residents.
