Each week we are now seeing reports of Road Traffic Collisions causing injury and fatalities on our local roads. There has been an obvious decline in driving standards since Covid pandemic but Northampton County and Parish Councils and UK Highways Departments must also share responsibility.

We call on Northampton  Council County Councils, Parish Councils and UK Highways to make safe the most dangerous and well known crossroads at:

a) Whilton Locks Junction

b) Long Buckby Junction

c) Watford Gap Junction

In addition consider the lowering of National Speed Limits on Rural "B" Roads which were never intended to cater for such high speeds, modern heavy lorries and agricultural vehicles. Cyclists are further endangered because of new overtaking laws.

We can no longer tolerate this high level of life changing incidents for all concerned.
