We are requesting that the speed limit is reduced to 20mph in the village. Narrow roads and on-street parking mean that even cars going at 30mph are too fast for the conditions, and too many of us have had cars damaged by hit and run collisions. 

As much of the parking in East Street is against walls, children have no choice but to walk into the road to get into cars - stopping distance at 30mph is double that of 20mph. A reduction could prevent a tragedy. 

The parish council needs to be able to show that this is something the community wants, so please show your support. We also need proof of speeding, and anyone who would like to be part of a local volunteer speedwatch group should get in touch with the Clerk.
