The Issue

NOTE: We recognise that Morrisons Walworth plays an important role in serving the local community. We are seeking to work collaboratively with the store to identify practical measures to reduce “metal-on-metal” and “metal-on-concrete” noise - particularly during late-night and early-morning hours - in order to create a quieter environment for nearby residents.

We understand that some level of noise is unavoidable when living near a supermarket. Deliveries involving heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) and vans, along with reversing alarms and manoeuvring, are part of daily operations. However, we believe there is an opportunity to review specific loading bay practices, which appear to generate the majority of high-impact metal and concrete noise.

This petition aims to give the supermarket a clearer picture of how many local residents are affected, including families with young children and individuals who require adequate rest.

Our goal is to open a constructive dialogue between residents and store management to address these concerns and build a more positive, neighbourly relationship.

Your support can make a meaningful difference. Please sign the petition and help us work towards a quieter, healthier community for everyone.
