The 2hr parking fee will once again be introduced in all LCC car parks this is only due to the amount of signatures and comments from people on Facebook and Change.org that made LCC listen.
Do I believe the charges are still too high YES. The only parking charge reduced is night parking all others remain the same but not standardised across all car parks.
In July LCC will be sending me data regarding the footfall in car parks so I can see what consequences the new charges have if any. The fight will still go on until the charges are reduced.
I have also taken the advice from a number of comments on Facebook stating they need someone like me to be a voice for them within council therefore after careful consideration I have decided to put my name forward as a candidate for councilor in next months election within the Harbour Ward of Morecambe.
So if you live in this area please vote for me and I promise your concerns will be put to council
