The Issue

As a concerned parent, I see the impact of long hours of screen time on my kids as they use Chromebooks in their school daily. This excess in screen time is becoming a growing concern. We know from Mayo Clinic that children between the ages of 2 and 12 should have no more than 1 hour of screen time per day for a healthy psychological and physical development. Tragically, in our schools, this limit is exhausted within just 2 to 3 class periods. Chronic screen exposure in children is linked to various health concerns ranging from eye strain to distractibility. We must prioritize the health and wellbeing of our future generation and adhere to the experts' recommendations on screen time limits. It's time that our children's schools reconsider their dependency on digital devices like Chromebooks and create a balanced learning environment. Please sign this petition to support a reduction in screen time on Chromebooks within our schools.
