The Issue

Having played FIFA for years, I’ve always been excited about the annual release. However, this year feels different. The thrill seems to have dissipated, and I’ve noticed fewer people sharing in the excitement. This decline isn't just anecdotal; it reflects a broader trend affecting many devoted fans and casual consumers alike.

EA FC25 suffered from lower sales than expected–a downturn that was likely noticeable to many avid players who missed the usual buzz around its debut. To address this and reignite excitement, I propose that EA Sports consider an exclusive price adjustment for EA FC26. Specifically, by setting the retail price at £64.99/$64.99/€72.99, EA can rejuvenate its consumer base by making the game more accessible.

This price point not only benefits current fans but also has the potential to attract new customers eager to experience the renowned gameplay at a more reasonable cost. The competitive pricing strategy could serve as a catalyst for higher initial sales, fostering long-term engagement and brand loyalty.

A strategic price reduction for this year would show EA Sports’ commitment to its community–meeting them halfway by recognizing economic trends and consumer needs. It’s a decisive move that holds promise to recapture interest and gain momentum in the gaming market.

Simply put:-

1) more day one sales
2) more popularity
3) more early momentum for this year's version
4) cheaper on the pocket for the consumer initially so more likely to buy micro transactions on day 1

5) happier customers

Sign this petition to urge EA Sports to consider this one-off price reduction and bring back the excitement of feeling the stadium roar with energy and passion when we fire up their game once again.
