Response from MP Rebecca Young's electoral office

Hi all petitioners
This was the response I received from MP Rebecca Young (LNP) Redlands electoral office today at 8:00am;
Good morning Callen,
Thank you for your email and sending this through, we appreciate your attention to this matter. The Crisafulli Government has released the 2032 Games Delivery Plan, which includes substantial road, rail and bus infrastructure. The plan includes delivery of improved bus priority on key Brisbane corridors that is essential to be able to increase the frequency and reliability of services, mode shift and benefits the broader transport network both for the Games and beyond. Brisbane City Council (BCC) is leading the detailed Business Case for the Brisbane Metro Expansion. The Crisafulli Government is focused on delivering the transport projects outlined in the 2032 Games Delivery Plan.
I have passed your comments, feedback and petition through to Rebecca for her awareness.
Kind regards
Xavier
Office of Rebecca Young MP
Considering this is becoming a bipartisan issue with both local Labor representatives, Greens organisers, the Redlands Mayor Cr Jos Mitchell and her council colleagues irrespective of politics, and now the LNP MP federal MP Henry Pike all in support of the Brisbane Metro to Capalaba now is the time for the QLD State Crisafulli Government to come clean on the Brisbane Metro to Capalaba plans particularly in the lead up to the 2032 Brisbane Olympic Games. Particularly with growing development, population increases and the unfolding cost of living and oil fuel crisis due to the situation unfolding in the Middle - East.
I will endeavour to contact you all and the public when more responses are made and when the QLD State Government formalises a way forward on this issue. In the event progress is slow or if anything stalls we will do everything we can to make noise on this key infrastructure issue.
Kind Regards
Principal Petitioner
