This is your two day update on the petition for SS United States National Monument of Engineering. 

Signatures

At the time of writing we have 210 Signatures and over 1000 views and a hundred shares. Most of the signatures have come from Reddit.

Sharing and sourcing

The petition has primarily been shared on Reddit and Twitter and I have as of this morning opened up potential signature sources on Facebook. I am currently working on learning how to film a video short for YouTube, tiktok and Instagram for additional sources for signatures. 

Decision maker.

I am leaning towards President Joe Biden as the potential Decision maker for the petition or whoever wins the upcoming election as it that person would have a higher public profile and attention than the head of the park service. 

A valid question.

Someone on Reddit asked how the National Park Service would be able to afford something of the magnitude. This is a valid question and something I had thought of prior to writing and starting the petition. I have looked up potential sources of revenue the Park Service could use and will update a part of the petition to seem more viable than simply asking the Government to "Take care of the ship". 

Moving forward.

I will continue to make efforts to share and distribute the petition to additional media and ask you do the same if you are willing.

My goal is 50k signatures and having this go viral both in social media and traditional media.
