When r/place was made back in 2017, all the Internet users from different communities and Fandoms from arround the world worked together to draw on the same canevas of a million pixel square. It's a shame they only made it once as the final result was amazing! This social experiment depicted perfectly how humans and society can find a way to organize themselves and find a place for each community in a limited place in a friendly and peaceful environment. This social experiement was a success and brought many strangers around the world to work for a cause they have in common.

This is why I think r/place should turn into a yearly tradition on Reddit where each year, the final result would be a visual representation of what the Internet global community looks like. It's the best way to make an emblem to remember each year. By having the users of the Internet themselves to be brought together on a yearly event, we would have a way to see how each year was unique and to remember that we all are just one giant community.

This is why I think Reddit should make r/place a tradition on its platform. Also, Reddit would have nothing to lose as they already made it once. All they would have to do is put a new canevas each year for a couple of days and wait for the result. Plus I'm sure Reddit would gain more users because of this and would make more profit. If something is great, why not make it again?
