Adding Recycling Bins to Station Casinos in Las Vegas, Nevada

The Station Casinos in Las Vegas, Nevada generate many tourists and locals yearly. The casinos hosts many fun events such as bowling, movies, bingo, pools, spas, etc. However, these fun activities generate loads of waste and within the casinos are no recycling bins. Just a crowd leaving the movie theatre produces about two-three bins of trash, many items of which are recyclable. When I visited Red Rock Casino Resort and Spa, the only recycling bin was at concierge. None of the restaurants in the food court area had recycling bins behind the counter either. This is very disappointing and should change. When I contacted some of the managers working at Red Rock, they believed there were already recycling bins in the casino, which shows how they are open to the idea as they already believed recycling was available in the casino/hotel. I asked people working in the casino/hotel to make sure I didn’t miss the bins as the managers believed they were there, but every employee told me there were none. No one should have to wander a casino/hotel for an hour just to recycle a water bottle. Sign this petition to push the Station Casinos to add recycling bins and become more green because enjoying your time at a casino/hotel shouldn’t come at the cost of the environment.
