Help the red pandas!

Help the red pandas!
The Issue
Red pandas according to the World Wildlife Fund are endangered with less than 10,000 of them left in the world. Their populations are fragmented and they only live in small mountainous areas in Asia in forests that can provide them with bamboo, which is their main food source.
The red panda's habitat continues to shrink, due to natural disasters such as landslides and floods, and especially human educed factors like climate change and the clearing of forests for commercial use.
Another major threat to red pandas is poaching, they are kept as pets and put in inhumane captivity, or killed for their pelts and meat.
by supporting the red panda network, you can help initiate change for the red pandas. They do work to protect red pandas, with practices like eco tourism, nurseries, and projects for clean drinking water in their environments. they do work to plant trees and sustain the forests that provide the red panda with a habitat.
By protecting red pandas, an umbrella species, you are protecting a wide range of species in the Eastern Himalayas, which is a global biodiversity hotspot home to plenty of other endangered species.
