Tuition is set to increase again this coming year at uOttawa. On average 3%, but as high as 15% for International students.  A number of graduate programs / professional program tuition fees will increase. This by the University adopting the MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE tuition increases established by the Ontario Wynne government. Lab fees are also set to increase. The university model of simply raising tuition fees every year is disrespectful to students - that tuition increases are an automatic practice in budget calculation demonstrates a callous disregard for students welfare. After 11 straight years of tuition increases, students need a break. Freeze tuition for 2017/2018. If it means keeping Sr. Management & Executive salaries frozen, in spite of the Ontario Regulation 304/16 loophole that expires in September 2017, so be it. The VP Resources earns $270,000.+ salary - for that kind of money, better ideas than tuition hikes ought to be put forward. NO HIKES in 2017/2018!
