With the lack of lighting around the park’s basketball court and the trails residing within the park, many people cannot play basketball, go on runs, or do the activities they wish to do. I ask the Anne Arundel County executive and the council handling Gorc Park to add lights that sense when it is dusk to turn on, and turn off when daytime comes. Many individuals wish to do physical activities at night or very early in the morning, to avoid the daytime crowd and maintain social distancing during this tough time. For the individuals who do activities with the lights off, there is a higher chance that people will get robbed of their belongings, for there isn't a sufficient coverage of light. We wish that Gorc Park can be safe for all and help us with what we want.
