What's The Scoop?

Friends of Recovery-Albany County & Second Chance Opportunities have been working hard to bring a Recovery Community Center to Albany County. A Recovery Community Center would allow those in recovery, their friends and family a sober place to go for events and activities while creating and fostering a recovery community. The community space will provide a limitless number of opportunities for support to those new and old to recovery including: employment assistance, education, job training, life skill development, housing options and support groups.

Our goal is to create a community center that will bridge the gap between treatment and a life of recovery here in Albany County.

Recently we located a vacant building that will provide the perfect space for the community center. It will require some rehabilitation work, but its central location is perfect to serve Albany County.

Why do we need your signature?

This petition is to help us convince the Albany County Legislature that this is the best use for the vacant building. By signing this petition, you are letting the Albany County Legislature know that we, as a community, need this!
