The key characteristics of nu-metal are heavy guitar plus bellowing vocals, interspersed with rap as exemplified by the genre's biggest names (limp bizkit, linking park etc) for many years "walk this way" has struggled for a comfortable fit in the racks of record shops and online music streaming sites alike.

Since it's it's release in 1986 this awe inspiring track has not had an accurate home in terms of genre. In retrospect the track fits all the criteria to be classified under, and indeed be the first example of nu-metal.

"Walk this way" as performed by Aerosmith's and RUN DMC deserves to be credited as the origin of the genre NU- METAL. Help me make it happen.
