Petition to the UFC: Reconsider Farid Basharat’s Contract

We respectfully ask Dana White and the UFC leadership to reconsider their decision not to offer Afghan fighter Farid Basharat a new contract and to give him another opportunity to compete in the UFC.

Farid Basharat has an undefeated professional record of 16 wins and 0 losses, including seven victories in the UFC. Through his performances, discipline, and dedication, he has earned the respect and support of many MMA fans.

His supporters include Afghans around the world, fans across Asia, people in Iran, and Persian-speaking communities worldwide. For many supporters, watching Farid compete in the UFC is a source of pride, excitement, and inspiration. They want to see him continue his journey, face new challenges, and demonstrate his skills on the world stage.

We understand that contract decisions can involve many factors, and we do not claim to know all the reasons behind this decision. We are not asking the UFC to disclose confidential information.
