Reconfigure Coral Cove Elementary into a K-8 Center!!

The Issue

Our community holds a deep and unquestionable commitment towards the continuous quality of education and well-being of our children. We have trusted Coral Cove Elementary to mold the education of our young ones for several years. Unfortunately, their journey with the school often comes to a close much too soon - at the end of their elementary schooling. It's time to change this premature disconnect in education.

Understanding the break of continuity, 59% of our middle school-aged children transition out of the public-school system. They leave to seek smaller, more specialized programs in charters and private schools. This shift indicates a clear desire in our community for a more sustainable option within our own borders. Our proposition? Extend Coral Cove Elementary into a K-8 center.

Converting Coral Cove Elementary into a K-8 center isn't just a convenience matter - it's about improving the sense of community, educational continuity, and opportunities for our children. Most importantly, it's about maintaining trust in our Broward County Public Schools and their ability to deliver excellent, uninterrupted educational experiences.

Make your voice heard; let's pave the way for enriched, continuous learning for our children. We want to keep our growing youngsters within the familiar and trusted educational environment that Coral Cove Elementary could provide as a K-8 center. Sign this petition to show your support for the proposed conversion of Coral Cove Elementary into a K-8 Center.

Join us in the next Broward County School Board Workshop as we make our voices heard! The workshop will take place on November 6th at the KWC Building - 600 SE 3rd Avenue; Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33301 (Redefining Schools Topic has been scheduled for 2pm). You can sign up to speak at this meeting ---> https://browardschools.granicusideas.com/meetings
