المطبخ النوبي ليس مجرد وصفات تقليدية، بل هو جزء حي من الذاكرة الثقافية لشعب عريق، تتجسد فيه عاداتنا، لغتنا، وطرق عيشنا المتوارثة عبر الأجيال.
هو طعام تُعدّه الأيادي بحب، وتُقدَّم أطباقه في لحظات الفرح والحزن، في البيوت والاحتفالات، ليبقى شاهدًا على هوية متجذّرة في عمق التاريخ.

في وقت تتعرض فيه ملامح الثقافة النوبية لخطر الاندثار، يبقى المطبخ النوبي من أهم رموز الأصالة المتبقية، لأنه ما زال يُمارَس يوميًا، وما زالت وصفاته تنتقل من الجدات إلى الأحفاد. من هنا جاءت مبادرتنا لتوثيق هذا التراث الغني، وترشيحه رسميًا للاعتراف به ضمن قائمة التراث الثقافي غير المادي للبشرية التابعة لمنظمة اليونسكو.

ولكي يُقبل هذا الترشيح، تشترط اليونسكو وجود دعم وتأييد حقيقي من المجتمع النوبي. وهنا تكمن أهمية توقيعكم.

نرجو منكم – نوبيين في الداخل والشتات، وأصدقاء للتراث الإنساني في كل مكان – أن توقعوا هذه العريضة دعمًا لـ:
 الاعتراف بالمطبخ النوبي كتراث حي ومشترك يستحق الحماية الدولية.
 حفظ الوصفات التقليدية، وأساليب التحضير والأدوات المرتبطة بها.
 تشجيع الأجيال الجديدة على تعلم هذا التراث ونقله.

هذه العريضة ليست فقط عن الطعام.

عن صوت مجتمع يطالب بحقه في الحفاظ على ما يميّزه ويعبّر عنه.

Call for Recognition of Nubian Cuisine as Intangible Cultural Heritage – Support Our UNESCO Nomination. In collaboration with the Sudanese Nubian Association UK & Nubiana Magazine.

Nubian cuisine is more than just traditional recipes - it is a living part of the cultural memory of an ancient people. It reflects our customs, our language, and our way of life passed down through generations.

It is food prepared with love, served in moments of both joy and sorrow, in homes and celebrations - a powerful symbol of identity rooted deep in history.

At a time when Nubian culture faces the threat of disappearance, Nubian cuisine remains one of its last strongholds - still practiced daily, and still passed from grandmothers to grandchildren. That is why we have launched this initiative to document this rich heritage and officially nominate it for inclusion in UNESCO’s List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

For this nomination to be accepted, UNESCO requires clear and genuine support from the Nubian community. Your signature matters.

We call on all Nubians - at home and in the diaspora - and on friends of cultural heritage everywhere, to sign this petition in support of:

• Recognizing Nubian cuisine as a shared, living heritage worthy of international protection.
• Preserving traditional recipes, preparation methods, and associated tools.
• Encouraging younger generations to learn and carry forward this cultural legacy.
