We are urging the UK government to reclassify these illegal crossings as an invasion, and to declare a national emergency. By doing so, the government can allocate necessary resources and implement stronger border control measures. This reclassification would also enable a more strategic approach to handling the influx, protecting the safety and well-being of our citizens, while ensuring the country can effectively manage those who wish to enter legally and contribute positively to our society.
The number of illegal migrants who broke into Britain via small boat under Labour's watch now outnumber the entire British Army.
On Wednesday, 781 migrants arrived in the UK after crossing the Channel - the worst day recorded since Andy Burnham replaced Sir Keir Starmer as Prime Minister.
The crossings took the number of small boat arrivals since Labour stormed to victory in the 2024 General Election to 83,279.
Shadow Home Secretary Chris Philp has now raised the alarm after the figure surpassed the British Army's 83,000 soldiers.
