Dear Board Members of the IAEA:

We, the undersigned, are writing to call for the removal of Rafael Mariano Grossi from his position as the Director General of the IAEA.

On June 9th, Mr. Grossi stated that Iran’s rapid accumulation of highly enriched uranium is a serious concern, referring to the 60 percent enriched uranium facilities at Fordow and Natanz.

However, he later denied his own claim, stating, “We did not have any evidence of a systematic effort [by Iran] to move into a nuclear weapon.” This was too late, as the initial claim had already legitimized Israeli aggression.

We believe it is imperative for Mr. Grossi to address the repercussions of his prior reports and statements on this issue, particularly as they have been exploited by the E3 and the United States to formulate baseless resolutions alleging 'non-compliance.'

Furthermore, on June 27th, Mr. Grossi told Fox News that Iran has hidden the 60% enriched uranium in ancient historical sites in Isfahan.

The scenario of argumentation is familiar: we find Grossi’s remarks about “moving uranium enrichments to ancient sites in Isfahan” to be eerily similar, equally suspicious, and a testament to the presence of the idea of the "Gazification of Iran" in one way or another in his agenda. (We are cognizant that the genocide, the undervelopment of Gaza, the destruction of hospitals, universities, healthcare facilities, schools, and residential houses were sustained by a similar talking point that “Hamas operates under these facilities”.)

Unfortunately, the Israeli propaganda talking points are becoming increasingly prevalent in Mr. Grossi’s stances. We fear that Mr. Grossi is now replacing Dick Cheney in relation to the false testimonies he gave that legitimized the US invasion of Iraq. This is unprofessional and requires urgent investigation, especially in light of the fact that the invasion of Iraq also happened according to the sitting Prime Minister of Israel.

While these assertions showcase the depravity of imagination of colonizers in coming up with scenarios to underdevelop and attack sovereign states, we strongly condemn his recent pivots to questionable stances and demand his removal from office.

These misleading narratives have led to dire consequences, most notably:

Escalation of Hostilities: The resolution motivated by his report has served as a pretext for a warmongering regime to initiate an unlawful attack on Iran and its peaceful nuclear facilities.

Human Cost: The wars founded on these allegations have resulted in the loss and maiming of countless innocent Iranian lives. How many more must suffer as a result of misleading narratives that fail to provide a balanced and fair perspective?

 Erosion of Trust: His biased reports and claims have not only undermined Iran’s rights under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) but have also turned the IAEA into a tool for non-NPT members to suppress the rights of compliant NPT members.

In light of these critical issues, we demand accountability for these misleading representations and urge you to:

-  Make Mr. Grossi acknowledge the consequences of his previous statements and reports that have led to conflict escalation and humanitarian crises.
-  Commit to transparency and objectivity in future reports to avoid similar injustices.
- Remove Mr. Grossi from his position as the Director of the IAEA.

Every action has consequences, and the role of the IAEA should be to uphold the principles of the NPT, not to serve as a pawn in geopolitical conflicts.

Once again, we urge the IAEA to take the necessary steps to restore its integrity and promote peace rather than conflict by removing Mr. Grossi from his position.

ما، امضاکنندگان زیر، خواستار برکناری رافائل ماریانو گروسی از سمت مدیرکل آژانس بین‌المللی انرژی اتمی هستیم.

در تاریخ ۹ ژوئن، آقای گروسی اظهار داشت که انباشت سریع اورانیوم با غنای بالا توسط ایران مایه نگرانی جدی است و به تأسیسات اورانیوم با غنای ۶۰ درصد در فوردو و نطنز اشاره کرد.

با این حال، او بعداً ادعای خود را تکذیب کرد و گفت: «ما هیچ شواهدی از تلاش سیستماتیک [توسط ایران] برای حرکت به سمت سلاح هسته‌ای نداشتیم.» این تکذیب دیرهنگام بود، زیرا ادعای اولیه او پیش‌تر توجیهی برای تجاوز اسرائیل فراهم کرده بود.

ما معتقدیم که آقای گروسی باید پاسخگوی پیامدهای گزارش‌ها و اظهارات پیشین خود در این موضوع باشد، به‌ویژه از آنجایی که این گزارش‌ها توسط گروه سه‌گانه اروپایی و ایالات متحده برای تدوین قطعنامه‌های بی‌اساس مبنی بر «عدم پایبندی» ایران مورد سوءاستفاده قرار گرفته‌اند.

علاوه بر این، در تاریخ ۲۷ ژوئن، آقای گروسی به فاکس نیوز گفت که ایران اورانیوم با غنای ۶۰ درصد را در مکان‌های تاریخی باستانی در اصفهان مخفی کرده است.

سناریوی استدلال او آشنا به نظر می‌رسد: ما اظهارات گروسی درباره «انتقال غنی‌سازی اورانیوم به مکان‌های باستانی در اصفهان» را به طرز نگران‌کننده‌ای مشابه، به همان اندازه مشکوک و گواهی بر وجود ایده ی «غزه‌سازی ایران» در دستور کار او می‌دانیم. (فراموش نکردیم که با خاک یکسان کردنِ دانشگاهها، خانه ها، بیمارستانها، مدرسه ها و زندگی در غزه توسط سناریوی شبیه به همین جمله صورت گرفت: “زیر بیمارستانها و مدارس غزه، اعضای حماس وجود دارند”.

متأسفانه، پروپاگاندای اسرائیل به طور فزاینده‌ای در مواضع آقای گروسی رواج یافته است. ما نگرانیم که آقای گروسی اکنون جای دیک چنی را در ارتباط با شهادت‌های نادرستی که توجیه‌کننده حمله ایالات متحده به عراق بود، گرفته باشد. این رفتار غیرحرفه‌ای است و نیاز به تحقیقات فوری دارد، به‌ویژه با توجه به این که حمله به عراق نیز بر اساس اظهارات نخست‌وزیر وقت اسرائیل انجام شد.

در حالی که این ادعاها نشان‌دهنده تخیل فقیر استعمارگران در ایجاد سناریوهایی برای تضعیف، توسعه زدایی و حمله به کشورهای مستقل است، ما چرخش اخیر او به مواضع مشکوک را به شدت محکوم می‌کنیم و خواستار برکناری او از سمتش هستیم.

این روایت‌های گمراه‌کننده به پیامدهای وخیمی منجر شده‌اند، از جمله:

تشدید خصومت‌ها: قطعنامه‌ای که بر اساس گزارش او انگیزه گرفته، بهانه‌ای برای رژیم جنگ‌طلب اسراییل برای آغاز حمله غیرقانونی به ایران و تأسیسات هسته‌ای صلح‌آمیز آن فراهم کرد.

هزینه انسانی: جنگ‌هایی که بر اساس این اتهامات بنیان نهاده شده‌اند، منجر به از دست رفتن و مجروح شدن بی‌شمار جان‌های بی‌گناه ایرانی شده‌اند. چه تعداد دیگر باید به دلیل روایت‌های گمراه‌کننده‌ی آقای گروسی که دیدگاه مستقل و منصفانه‌ای ارائه نمی‌دهند، رنج بکشند؟

فرسایش اعتماد: گزارش‌ها و ادعاهای مغرضانه او نه تنها حقوق ایران تحت معاهده منع گسترش سلاح‌های هسته‌ای را تضعیف کرده، بلکه آژانس را به ابزاری برای اعضای غیر عضو تبدیل کرده تا حقوق اعضای پایبند به را سرکوب کنند.

با توجه به این مسائل حیاتی، ما خواستار پاسخگویی آژانس در قبال این بازنمایی‌های گمراه‌کننده هستیم و از شما می‌خواهیم:

آقای گروسی را وادار کنید تا پیامدهای اظهارات و گزارش‌های پیشین خود که منجر به تشدید درگیری‌ها و بحران‌های انسانی شده‌اند را بپذیرد.

به شفافیت و بی‌طرفی در گزارش‌های آینده متعهد شوید تا از بی‌عدالتی‌های مشابه جلوگیری شود.

آقای گروسی را از سمت مدیرکل آژانس برکنار کنید.

هر اقدامی پیامدهایی دارد و نقش آژانس باید حمایت از اصول معاهده منع گسترش سلاح‌های هسته‌ای باشد، نه این که به عنوان ابزاری در درگیری‌های ژئوپلیتیکی عمل کند.

بار دیگر، ما از آژانس می‌خواهیم که اقدامات لازم را برای بازگرداندن اعتبار خود و ترویج صلح به جای درگیری با برکناری آقای گروسی از سمتش انجام دهد.
