On May 10th of 2025 Fred Anthony Carr II & Caleb Anthony Carr intentionally and violently murdered Jacob Spencer.

Jacob Spencer (24) was stabbed multiple times by strangers, including wounds to his back, showed signs of defending himself, and was left without help as his life slipped away. Jacob Spencer lost his life under circumstances that point to intentional, violent conduct, not a tragic accident. Yet the persons responsible (Fred Anthony Carr II & Caleb Anthony Carr) are charged only with reckless homicide. We are calling on the Butler County Prosecutor’s Office to review and correct the charges, so they accurately reflect the seriousness of Jacob Spencer’s killing and uphold the standards of justice our community deserves.

These individuals were free in the community until December 16th, 2025.

One of these individuals have multiple prior violent offenses on their record already. We fear that if this case isn't tried the way it properly should be that the individual may get out and harm another innocent life.
