This petition is to help fund playgrounds for schools and to convince the government that having time to be outside is important for all schools and teenagers. 

When I was in middle school, I was really lonely. I didn't really have friends and lunch time was the worst for me. There was nothing to do but sit, eat, and not look pathetic. A playground would have made all the difference to me. I could have actually had fun in middle school!

High school was a stressful thing. I was super anxious and always worried about school and assignments. Stuck inside on my computer doing assignments that had no real meaning to me, except for a grade. People have always said that children and teenagers need to go outside more, yet teachers and educators insists on giving us more and more work. Work that takes away from being outside and getting our Vitamin D. Recess would solve that. 

This petition is about providing teenagers opportunities to be outside and to play. It sounds childish but playing is actually really therapeutic and can do wonders for mental and physical health. Together, maybe we can provide a little bit of relief from stress and loneliness.
