The Issue

I am a resident of Fontana, California, and I am deeply concerned about the current state of our city under Mayor Aquanetta Warren's leadership. Our streets are damaged, and the infrastructure is crumbling, making it unsafe for residents and inconvenient for our daily routines. This is not the Fontana we deserve.

Furthermore, Mayor Warren has allowed the unnecessary destruction of homes to pave the way for enormous warehouses that remain largely empty and infringe on our community's space. These warehouses occupy land that once belonged to thriving neighborhoods, displacing families and reducing the residential appeal of Fontana. This approach to development seems short-sighted and neglects the long-term well-being of the residents.

Beyond this, we must question the decision-making that prioritizes industrial growth over the community needs. There should be a focus on improving quality of life through sustainable planning rather than valuing transient economic goals that don't seem to benefit the average citizen. It is apparent that our leadership is out of touch with the real desires and priorities of its people.

We believe that it is time for a change. A change that brings leadership that truly listens to its citizens, values their input, and works tirelessly to enhance our community's living conditions. Our future depends on responsible and transparent governance that prioritizes the needs of the many over the interests of the few.

If you share my concerns and believe that Fontana deserves a brighter, more sustainable future, please join me in calling for the impeachment of Mayor Acquanetta Warren. Together, we can demand better leadership and a city that reflects the values and needs of its residents. Please sign this petition to make our voices heard and initiate change in Fontana, CA.

From Council Member John Roberts: Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to express your views. I respect residents’ right to petition and to participate in our local democratic process. To provide clarity: the Mayor is already scheduled to be on the ballot in 2026. While California law provides a separate recall process, it is complex, time-bound, and resource-intensive. Given the current timeline, the regularly scheduled election in 2026 is the most practical and predictable venue for voters to make their choice. In the meantime, I encourage all residents—regardless of viewpoint—to stay engaged: attend Council meetings, share public comment respectfully, and communicate with City staff and elected officials about specific concerns and ideas. Civic participation works best when we focus on facts, process, and constructive solutions. — John Roberts, Council Member, City of Fontana
