Our city is literally burning to the ground, a direct result of the inadequacies of our leaders at nearly every level of local and state government. The despair is clear in the streets of Los Angeles. As a citizen, I feel the urgent need to spearhead change starting at the top—recalling and replacing our governor Gavin Newsom. 

Governor Gavin Newsom has redirected crucial disaster prevention funds to non-essential projects, like affordable housing and social programs, at the expense of wildfire preparedness and emergency response. Despite California's growing vulnerability to natural disasters, the state has repeatedly slashed budgets for critical infrastructure and fire prevention efforts, leaving residents at greater risk. Newsom’s mismanagement and prioritization of politically favorable causes over disaster readiness have made the state dangerously unprepared.

Inadequate response to crises, questionable policy decisions, ineffective leadership - the list goes on. These are not hallmarks of a competent governor. For the sake of our beloved city and the great state of California, it's time for change.

Gavin Newsom's recall is the first step towards a better future for all Californians. It's time for us to take a stand. It's time for us to fight for our city, our families, and our communities.
