RECALL BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEMBERS , John Parke, Randy Bolle, and Bryan Reddick
The Issue
On December 20th 2021 , the current Fire Protection District Board of Trustees appointed a new acting Fire Chief, Mr. Jerame Simmons Sr , a former convicted felonly arsonist.
Mr. Simmons was NOT a member of the Prairie Du Pont Fire Association and was in a withdrawn status at the time. The Protection district board had appointed Mr. Simmons as Assistant Chief on August 26th 2021, in un announced special meeting. We were in current negotiations surrounding this decision and their agreement with the Association providing coverage.
The Fire Association had a carried motion of NO CONFIDENCE, amongst the Majority of the Membership of the Fire Department and hand delivered that NO CONFIDENCE letter to the Prairie Du Pont Fire Protection District Board of Trustees, before their appointment in December 20th 2021.
During this meeting, the board would not hear from the public before their decision was made, and was asked why the current Chief was being removed? They only offered a press release.
This board has not followed laws,

The Prairie Du Pont Fire Protection District board has also made several violations to the Open Meetings Acts(OMA) in regards to the posting of this meetings time and date, along with the agencies agendas, and budget.
Most recently, the Department's Association had to file a FOIA request to receive their budgets.
We are calling on the Saint Clair County Board to immediately recall their appointments and place appropriate officials in their place. The laws must be followed in order to restore the trust in the public. This effects the towns of, but is not limited to , the towns of East Carondelet, Dupo, Cahokia, Columbia, Millstadt, and Unincorporated St. Clair County.
This Department's jurisdiction includes a major rail depot in Dupo IL and the riverfront in East Carondelet, and requires certified personnel to operate the department.
We cannot allow our institutions to break the laws of the land.
We the People demand this boards immediate recall and replacement.
