Despite my car being within its 3-year warranty period, I had to engage in a lengthy battle with Vauxhall just to have defective parts replaced. It is disheartening that components expected to last for 6 years or 60,000 miles were found faulty within half that time.
What is even more concerning is the lack of consistency in Vauxhall's approach towards affected customers. While some individuals are fortunate enough to have their repairs covered under warranty, others are forced to bear the financial burden themselves. This inconsistency not only creates an unfair situation for customers but also undermines their trust in the brand.

In accordance with Consumer Rights Act 2015 which protects consumers' rights against faulty goods or services, it is imperative that Vauxhall Motors takes responsibility for these defective vehicles and ensures consistent treatment for all affected customers.
We call upon Vauxhall Motors:
1. To compulsorily recall every Grandland X vehicle experiencing the wet belt fault.
2. To be consistent in their approach towards all affected customers by covering necessary repairs under warranty.
3. To replace faulty parts as required and ensure they meet industry standards.
4. To extend warranty coverage for at least 6 months from the date of repair, in line with Consumer Rights Act 2015.
