Reboot the Police Academy feature film franchise

Reboot the Police Academy feature film franchise
The Issue
I'd like to take a little moment out of your day to address a topic very near and dear to my heart. Seems like lately every other project out of the studio system is a sequel or a prequel of an old "intellectual property" trying to tug at our heartstrings and burrow its way into our wallets. It's the way of the world nowadays.
But, I say, if we must be subjected to regurgitate all of our past lives for the enrichment of a few honchos, how about we get one for us? What if the next redux is one that we can all stand behind? What if we turn the copy machine on its head and make one we can all enjoy?
In these times of ideological and political division, I think the best thing we can do to reach out to the nation and smooth out the recent tensions that have been brewing among the public and police departments all over the country is to reboot the beloved feature film franchise "Police Academy".
It could help us remember a time when we could think of our law-enforcement brethren as a bunch of sax-playing, beach-partying goofballs who always got the last laugh on their uptight Lieutenant.
Time is of the essence, we already lost Cmndt. Lassard, Hightower, Hooks, Tackleberry and Cpt. Mauser. We can just pick it right up with the old numbering scheme, I think we were up to 9? or 10? Or, we can restart the count, or use some colons, I know that's all the rage these days. Point is, Steve Guttenberg is not getting any younger, we have to get this going now! Sign today!
P.S. If you put Miles Teller in it, I'm out.
