The Issue

Passed with strong bipartisan support in 2021, ACT for ALS is a landmark law that closed critical gaps in research, infrastructure, and access. It has expanded access to promising therapies for hundreds of people living with ALS and built a coordinated national research ecosystem accelerating progress toward a cure.

It also represents the single largest source of federal ALS research funding: $500 million over five years.

Now, that progress is at risk.

If Congress does not reauthorize ACT for ALS this year, people living with ALS could lose access to expanded clinical trials, promising therapies, and the research infrastructure driving breakthroughs.

This is a critical moment. We must reauthorize ACT for ALS and protect the progress our community fought to build.
Tell Congress to Reauthorize ACT for ALS
ACT for ALS gets us closer to a cure by:

Expanding access to promising treatments for people who previously had none
Generating critical data to accelerate breakthroughs for everyone living with ALS
Building a coordinated national research infrastructure designed to deliver cures
This progress didn’t happen by chance. It happened because the ALS community came together with urgency and determination.

Now, we need to protect it.

Your action today helps secure funding, accelerate research, and move us closer to a world without ALS. Your action matters. Your action can save lives!
