The Briarlake Elementary School community loves our wonderful teachers and staff. However, since Principal Lewis has taken over leadership of our neighborhood school, we have lost over 70 teachers and staff, with several more who have left mid-year, and even more leaving after this school year. Our parents and teachers know that Principal Lewis fosters a confrontational, negative, and toxic environment with low morale and high turnover rates. Parents, teachers, and staff respond to this by leaving the school!

Most importantly, our young students are affected by this constant turnover, with many having multiple teachers in the same year. This is no way to learn!

We demand new leadership! We deserve a principal who is professional, courteous, kind, and will leave a positive mark on all who attend and interact with Briarlake Elementary School. Under principal Lewis, the school lacks the ability to retain great employees, which has direct consequences for our children’s well-being and education. 

We are local parents who care deeply about our children's growth, education, consistency, and preparation for middle school. We demand new leadership at our school - reassign Principal Lewis before we before we lose more of our precious teachers and staff!
